"SAPIENZA CORSE" FSAE Racing Team
The origin
In late 2007, the "Sapienza Corse" team has been established within the University of Rome "La Sapienza" to develop racing cars to participate at Formula SAE competitions.
Last Competitions
In 2008 "Sapienza Corse" team has taken part in Formula SAE Italy competition held in Fiorano, Modena, on September 20-22/08.
During 2009 season, we run in Hockenheim the Formula Student Germany event (August 5-9, 2009) and, on Varano de' Melegari circuit, for Formula SAE Italy competition (September 4-7, 2009).

Current activities
The team is now working both on last year and present year prototypes. Gajarda 2009 is under repairing and tuning. In April, May and June, it will be used to test some new technical choices for gear shift, clutch actuation, air intake system and tyres. Gajarda 2010 building is also started. We all hope to roll it out on... (no forecast, wait and see!).
Next steps...
This year again Sapienza Corse has registered for Formula Student Germany (Hockenheim-Ring, Aug 4-8, 2010) and for Formula SAE Italy (Varano de'Melegari, Sept 3-6, 2010).
For FSG registration we've passed the 15 question quiz in 61 seconds gaining one of the five slots available for non-German European teams in early registration day. For FSAE Italy, we filled the registration form in 1 minute and 46 seconds which is exactly the same time of 2009 registration. Last year we was the first team in the list, this year we come eighth..... hum, registration race is becoming harder and harder!
